Wattlah

Privacy Policy

Effective 16 March 2026

Wattlah (“we”, “us”) is a Tesla vehicle analytics app for Singapore and Malaysia. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights over it. By using Wattlah, you agree to this policy.

1. Data we collect

Account data

Your name and email address from your Google account, used to identify your account.

Tesla vehicle data

With your explicit authorisation via Tesla's OAuth, we receive telemetry from your vehicle including: battery level, estimated range, odometer, GPS location, speed, charging state and power, HVAC status, door and lock state, and sentry mode status. This data is streamed via Tesla Fleet Telemetry.

Drive and charging history

We compute and store records of your drives (distance, duration, energy used, route) and charging sessions (energy added, cost, location, duration).

User preferences

Your electricity rate, fuel price, currency preference, and saved charging locations.

Consent records

A log of when you accepted this policy, including timestamp and IP address.

2. How we use your data

  • Display your vehicle status, drive history, and charging analytics in the app
  • Calculate energy costs and fuel savings comparisons
  • Compute ERP toll fees for Singapore drives
  • Improve the accuracy of battery capacity estimates over time
  • Send fleet telemetry configuration to your vehicle on your behalf

We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising.

3. Data storage and security

Your data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted by Supabase (infrastructure in Singapore). Data is isolated per user — you can only access your own records. Tesla OAuth tokens are stored encrypted and automatically refreshed. All data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS.

4. Third-party services

We use the following third-party services to operate Wattlah:

  • Tesla Fleet API — to receive vehicle telemetry and send commands
  • Supabase — database and authentication
  • Google OAuth — sign-in
  • Vercel — web hosting
  • Fly.io — telemetry processing infrastructure
  • HiveMQ — MQTT message broker for telemetry

Each provider operates under their own privacy policy and data processing terms.

5. Location data

GPS coordinates are collected from your vehicle while driving or charging. Location is used only to record drive routes, match charging locations, and calculate ERP fees. We do not share your location with third parties.

6. Your rights

You may at any time:

  • Access the data we hold about you
  • Request deletion of your account and all associated data
  • Revoke Tesla access at any time via tesla.com › Manage › Third-Party Apps
  • Disconnect your account by signing out and contacting us

To request data deletion, email us at hello@wattlah.com. We will process requests within 30 days.

7. Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all personal data is deleted within 30 days. Aggregated, anonymised statistics may be retained indefinitely.

8. Children

Wattlah is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you in the app and ask for your consent again before continuing to use Wattlah.
